Music Monday: “Always Something” by Future Thieves

We’re staying in Nashville, Tennessee for a bit, because they’ve got some talented musicians and music coming out of there right now.

Case in point, Future Thieves released a new easy listening single with an upbeat melody and a powerful message behind it.

“‘Always Something’ is a song that was written from the perspective of someone who pushes people out of their life unintentionally…mostly by just little things they say or do,” says Elliot Collett. Collett provides
vocals and rhythm guitar to the Nashville-based band.

“I’ve known a few people like that in my life, and I always want so badly for them to stop and realize what they’re doing,” Collett continues. “Maybe this song could help others be aware of their actions and maybe they can improve on them. It’s a sad song yes, but it’s meant to carry a helpful message.”

Future Thieves consists of Gianni Gibson on drums, Nick Goss playing bass, lead guitar Austin McCool, and Elliot Collett.

The indie rock quartet hits the road for an eight-city tour. Dates and locations are listed below:
